Right on time, Jarv Dee is celebrating his 4/20 with new music. It’s been almost exactly a year since the release of his full-length Satellites, Swishers & Spaceships, and the new offering gives us Jarv with a similarly yet striking different vibe.

The superb lyricism and trap themes we expect from Jarv are there, but the jazzy and playful production and songwriting add an unexpectedly fresh angle to Jarv’s discography. “I know when the joog phone rings, that could only mean one thing,” Jarv sings with autotuned assistance on Joog Phone, a hustler’s rendition of Drake’s Hotline Bling. The entire project is remarkably light, with tracks 5 & 6 on the 7-track EP being the most aggressive, and it really works. Definitely worth a few spins, and really cool to see an established artist doing the unexpected. Moor Gang got another one! #OutHere
