Following a headlining performance at #TheTHESIS that brought out NBA stars Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, Brookfield Duece is making his next move on the mountain. More specifically, Mount Hood is the target location for the upcoming Winter Warming event the Oakland rapper is putting on in conjunction with the help of Portland’s FRSH TRB, BayArea-based DefMob Entertainment, Mt. Hood SkiBowl, Portland Gear, Collins Lake Hotels, The Lodges, LILLARDTIME and – of course – We Out Here Magazine.

Rasheed
TheTHESIS veteran and FRSH TRB rapper Rasheed Jamal is scheduled to rock the mountain.

This unique event literally brings an array of talent to new heights. Portland’s Rasheed Jamal and Nyce Lutchiano – both capable of headlining shows on their own – are set to open for Duece, who is also bringing up some of his Bay-Area buddies in Def Mob Entertainment. Local DJs Drae Slapz and Samarei have committed to the event as well, making for quite the bill. Never the one to slouch, Duece (aka The Raffle Master) knows it’s going to take a lot to pack a rap show at a venue an hour East of the city, and he’s got a few tricks to sweeten the pot.

To that point, Kenneth James – personal chef to Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard – is holding a very affordable “5 Course Tasting” before the show. For less than $12, you too can eat like an NBA star. There will also be a coat drive benefiting Portland’s homeless put on by LILLARDTIME and the PPD Sunshine Division, in addition to various raffles that you can qualify for by either bringing a coat, bringing 4 cans of canned goods or by paying $5 for a raffle ticket. At The Thesis, somebody skated off with two pair of Adidas exclusives so don’t sleep on the raffles! (HINT HINT: Look at the sponsors.)

Personally, I’m hoping all the turn-up kings and queens come out this Saturday. Put all the expansive and manicured details aside for a moment and just think about going wild in a venue on a mountain with snow outside. It’s finna be LIT, ladies and bros.

Tickets for the 21+ show can be purchased HERE for $10, and if I were you, I’d check HERE as well for hotel deals… because who wants to drive back to Portland/Salem/Vancouver in the wee hours of Sunday morning? Get your tickets, get your oil changed and come do it BIG. #OutHere
