Leezy Soprano is now King Leez and yeah, the kid from Tacoma has leveled up. Aligning with Raz Simone and Black Umbrella is looking more and more like a power-move and the husky voiced rapper has heads across the country checking for the Tac. Simply put, the 8-track project is phenomenal. Dropping this in January sets the bar impossibly high for other 2016 releases. My advice to rappers? Find another lane.

From top to bottom, Supreme Being impresses. It helps that Leez is an excellent rapper. With a great voice and great flow he seems to effortlessly embody Tacoma’s rap swag while constantly pushing the creative envelope. Beyond the impressive solo raps, Leez loads three tracks with high-quality rap features; fellow Tacoma rap vet Cally Reed joins Kevin Gates on Lookin’, Gifted Gab blesses the politically charged This Evening (probably my personal favorite), and the final track, That Ain’t Love, flexes hard with Raz Simone and the one and only Pusha T.
