There are a lot of bands here in Portland that assume the description of “hip-hop band” without merit. Speaker Minds is not one of them. Complete with a rhyming emcee and a drummer, the 7-piece band of talented musicians has been building their fanbase and showing out at regional events for years.
With a new album on the way – after 2.5 years of crafting – the crew released a new single and announced an upcoming concert/release party at The Star Theater along with Farnell Newton, Deena B, Starship Connection and the earlier-blogged Craig Irby. Might want to check it out. Till then, enjoy.
