I’ve personally been a huge fan of Mat Kearney’s music since High School when I heard “Girl America” on his first EP. The Eugene born musician made a big name for himself with his album “Nothing Left to Lose” which has a total of 5 top 20’s on the adult top 40 charts. The title track “Nothing Left to Lose” debuted at #41 on Billboards Hot 100 in 2007.
An incredibly talented musician and great person combined, Mat is an avid Oregon Ducks fan (which is awesome). He recently collaborated with the University of Oregon and @GoDucks on Twitter and created “Coming Home”.
A nostalgic ode to the green State of Oregon and more specifically the University of Oregon’s prolific football program. Even if you are not a Duck fan (that’s too bad) you should still enjoy this. The video has great rare footage of huge moments from the past and present.
