Los Angeles native Scarub (Living Legends) recently went on tour with Tope (TxE) to celebrate the release of Trouble Man, swinging through Portland, Eugene, Salem, and even Seattle, where WOHM’s own Cassandra Moses caught a few flicks of the action. Turtle T (Nu Era) opened the tour’s final show – the fourth in as many nights – and Grynch showed up for a feature as well.

Someone who makes it a point to swing through the region frequently, Scarub was nice enough to answer few questions for We Out Here.

I am… Scarub.

I rap because… it’s one of the few things I am good enough to support myself doing, and is still fun and challenging.Scarub 1

I like it when… They call me big Papa… And when opening acts are just as good as the headliner. It ups the whole concert from start to end.

One thing I wish the Northwest would share with the world is… Its cool summer weather.

One thing I wish the world would share with the Northwest is… Nothing, the Northwest is perfect.

Something I have coming up is… a new album. it’s titled Want For Nothing.

This is exciting because… once it drops, I’ll be able to pay my phone bill and buy groceries.
