I’d rather title this post “10 THINGS: To Surf While Procrastinating At Work,” but if HR tracks your computer history, you’ll thank me for not. So, surf these sites while you’re bored, using the restroom (I know you take your phone into the restroom), or just sick of staring at Facebook waiting for someone…anyone…to update their status.

1. www.barstoolsports.com

From their About Me section, “…a bunch of average Joes, who like most guys, love sports, gambling, golfing and chasing short skirts. We spend our NFL Sunday’s worrying about our fantasy football teams and our summers worrying about the Sox. Our writers are the type of guys you’ll bump into at a sports bar skipping work on the first and second days of March Madness…” Posting mostly sports-related content, the site stays true to loving “short skirts” by posting a “Barstool Smokeshow of the Day” everyday, and sometimes twice.

2. www.wwtdd.com

Don’t get caught reading TMZ. WWTDD – What Would Tyler Durden Do – is the gossip blog for men. And by “gossip” I mean photos of practically nude female celebrities, followed by a generally harsh critique. And by “harsh” I mean hilarious and chauvinistic.

3. www.bigghostnahmean.blogspot.com

Big Ghost aka Cocaine Biceps aka Thor Molecule The Panty Melter and most formally known as The Blog King is a notorious hip-hop blogger. There’s been some debate on whether or not he walks the walk, but he certainly talks the talk. Check out his blog and brace yo’self for some serious jive and Drake aka Drizzy aka The Kitten Whisperer aka The Harvester of Pauses critique. Nomsayin?

4. www.factsandchicks.com

Just tell your significant other you’re studying up to win Jeopardy, so you can buy her that handbag…

5. www.thisiswhyimbroke.com

Self-explanatory, this site is all the useless things you need to buy. Like, meow. Sidebar: I want the Nintendo Gameboy Dress. Use the Leave a Comment box to share what you want?

6. www.getdrunknotfat.com

Not to be confused with www.getfatnotdrunk.com, Get Drunk Not Fat lists the caloric intake of all your favorite adult beverages!

7. www.buzzfeed.com

Buzzfeed uses an eye-catching stylebook of bright colors, big fonts, and ample bolded words – meow that’s what I’m talkin’ about! Their About Me section is equally compelling, “We feature the kind of things you’d want to pass along to your friends: an outrageous video that’s about to go viral, an obscure subculture breaking into the mainstream, a juicy bit of gossip that everyone at the office will be talking about tomorrow, or an ordinary guy having his glorious 15-minutes of fame.”

8. www.twohypefeet.com

Launched Halloween 2010 out of Eugene, Ore. by four University of Oregon DJs, Two Hype Feet prides itself on dance music discovery. The site features dubstep, progressive and electro house music via Moombahton Mondays, Techno Tuesdays and Wobble Wednesdays. “We wanted to give the world a glimpse into the vast and diverse world of dance music as it shifts into the mainstream, and into the states,” said Jayson Charles Hobby, founder, Two Hype Feet. Ch-ch-che-whoooom-whooom-whoooomp-ch-check ‘em out. #outhereEUG

9. www.textsfromlastnight.com

Even if HR doesn’t check your computer history, this one is NSFW because you’ll be laughing out loud. Self-explanatory, users login / signup and post texts they received the night prior, you can also post via a forwarded text on your mobile phone or via email. There is no excuse for not placing the Northwest on the TFLN map.

10. www.damnyouautocorrect.com

Like TFLN, you’ll probably laugh out loud while surfing this site – especially if you use iProducts. And similarly, feel free to submit “damn you autocorrect” moments that include name drops, to put the NW on the map! (But don’t say it was my idea.)
