Let’s be honest, 2012 is going to be a wild year and you are probably going to go to jail at some point, but just because you are in jail doesn’t mean you won’t be able to party.

We want you to be prepared.

Pruno is known by a lot of names. It is a fruit based wine that is popular behind bars because of how easy it is to make.

Memorize these easy steps, and be sure that you will be able host some cracking prison parties.

Just don’t get caught, or let it get stolen.

(Notice that none of these steps include anything that will potential kill any sort of bacteria that may grow with your concoction. DRINK AT YOUR OWN RISK!)

What you’ll need:

A Bag

A Pot

3-4 Oranges (or Any Other Fruit)

30 Pieces of Fruit (or Fruit Cocktail)

8 Cups of Sugar

2 Pieces of Bread

Gathering the supplies may take a few days. You’ll need to load up your jacket with as much as you can carry at one time. If you can convince a few buddies to let you have all of their fruit, this process may only take a couple of meals.

Getting sugar is the tricky part. You’ll need to get it from someone who works in the kitchen. Make sure you plan things out with them; have them hand it to you while you are walking through the food line. There will be cops everywhere, so be careful.

Step 1: Get your hands on a Ziplock bag and three oranges. Peel the oranges, put them in the bag and smash them up.

Step 2: Let them sit for three days.

Step 3: Add 8 cups of sugar, two pieces of bread, and the juice of about 30 pieces of fruit (or get your hands on a can of fruit cocktail) to the concoction.

Step 4: Place the bag filled with the mixture into a bucket of warm water for about 15 minutes to speed up the fermentation process.

Step 5: Take the bag out of the pot and keep it in a warm place for three more days. The brewing creates CO2 gas, so make sure you let some of the gas out everyday, or the bag will burst. Leaking the gas will release a very strong scent, try smearing deodorant on the top of the bag. This will help mask some of the “pruno smell”.

Step 6: Enjoy!
