Wild Flag is a Portland, Oregon- and Washington, DC-based quartet consisting of Carrie Brownstein, Rebecca Cole, Mary Timony, and Janet Weiss. The members of Wild Flag have played in numerous and notable bands including Sleater-Kinney, Helium, Quasi, The Minders, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, and others.

Carrie Brownstein is a writer, musician and actor. She was a member of the critically acclaimed rock band Sleater-Kinney (1995 – 2006), which during its heyday was heralded as America’s Best Rock Band by Time Magazine. In Sleater-Kinney, Brownstein toured internationally and played countless venues and festivals, including Lollapalooza, Coachella and Madison Square Garden. The band performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and on IFC’s The Henry Rollins Show. Brownstein was named one of the top female electric guitarists by Elle Magazine and Rolling Stone Magazine lists Sleater-Kinney’s song “Dig Me Out” – featuring the overdriven riffs of Brownstein – as one of the 50 greatest guitar songs of all time.
