9DM vs. Illmaculate is finally going to happen. Friday, April 22. At Branx. 320 SE 2nd Ave.
I will be there in the front, blocking the view of all the short people behind me, and otherwise being pleasent.

Hip-hop heads in the northwest already know about this event, which will put the Northwest’s top two battle rappers against each other. This is 9DM’s first battle in Portland since defeating Reverse Live over a year ago (video below). Illmaculate hasn’t battled in Portland in over six years.
Not being familiar with any of the names mentioned in the previous paragraph is a great reason to check out the event and experience some of the best talent the Northwest has to offer.
Also featured on April 22nd will be a performance from the Sandpeople, a producer battle featuring eight of the top beat makers in the Northwest, and a battle between Only One, of the Sandpeople, and KI Design.

I am… a rapper out of Vancouver, WA
I like it when… everyone comes out to support Grind Time North West events. Also, I like seeing new blood get into the ring.
A battle between 9DM and Illmaculate from 2004, when battles still required a DJ.
One thing I wish the Northwest would share with the world is… our music. Illmaculate, OnlyOne, Al-One, Sapient, Calvin Valentine, Dizz, TxE, Luck One etc all make great albums. Not to mention producers like Lawz Spoken, Trox & Dj FlipFlop.
One thing I wish the world would share with the Northwest is… well…nothing really. Everything we don’t have is what makes it the Northwest. Its not packed with people like LA or NY, which is perfect for me. There aren’t as many rappers (which is a good thing), less music industry in general (which gives it the raw underground feel) and we got plenty of our own greenery.)
Something I have coming up is… a battle with 2 Time World Rap Champion Illmaculate. April 22nd @ Branx in Portland, OR (320 se 2nd). NW history in my opinion.
This is exciting because… I haven’t battled in 11 months and Illmaculate is the homie. Its also my biggest battle to date. There will also be a big announcement when the battle drops via www.grindtimenow.com so make sure you check it out!
