I happened across this gem from Portland vet Jake Kost last night, and after like a dozen spins I must say that I really enjoyed it. The highly capable bar-spitter brought out East Coast heavy-hitters as well, adding the highly renowned Reks and Supastition to the mix. (Little known fact, I once drove Reks to Seattle on some driver ish, but that’s another story for another day.)

Over a poetically enticing beat, the trio trades crafty verses – perhaps none sharper than Supastition’s – making for a fun track laced with potent wordplay. Shot between PDX and Boston, the visuals are clean. I was also pretty excited to hear that Kost’s new album, Stadluft Macht Frei, dropped today, and from what I’ve heard so far, it sounds like boom bap heaven, where airy beats and lyricism reign supreme.

Check the video, and press play on the album. #OutHere
