Portland’s Austin Lawrence dropped a new project earlier today featuring clean production from names such as Deuxpamine and Lawz Spoken, marking his first release since his summer ’14 album, Poetic Graphite.

As the name would imply, Orwell Prophet provides Lawrence the medium to share his political leanings and expand on paranoid trains of thought in the form of deft lyricism. Comparisons to a less angry Only One come to mine, and the Lawz-powered track 5 even calls on Illmaculate and Epp. Despite being objectively heavy, the album plays through rather smoothly and the thematic approach pays off in the 8 track album format.
