I was admittedly unfamiliar with Mayer Hawthorne’s music until I saw people on my Twitter timeline raving about somebody named “Tuxedo.” I hit a link and discovered that Seattle super-producer Jake One & the aforementioned singer/songwriter had delivered an r&b/funk album that is thee troof.
