We Out Here Magazine has a radio show now (every Tuesday at 5pm on gojuiceradio.com) but that doesn’t mean you won’t find us on other stations. This morning, I had the pleasure of talking on KBOO about #DontShootPDX and the work done by Portland Citizens to not only show solidarity for the folks in Ferguson, but also to address our own issues in Portland with police brutality and militarization, as well as racism and privilege.
I was joined by former city council candidate Teressa Raiford as well as Katrina Calhoun (NAACP), Ben Glas (student/videographer), Mimi German (activist) and the host, Kathleen who had trouble with my legal name… Now you know why I go by Mac.
